Antone J. Lazos
Chief Executive Officer/Director
Mr. Lazos has over 35 years of experience in the medical industry. He founded and served as, Chairman and CEO of Medical Imaging Centers of America ("MICA") which was one of the first major companies providing outpatient MRI and diagnostic imaging services. Mr. Lazos was elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Quality Imaging Association, an industry group representing 43 companies and corporations that delivered diagnostic imaging services. He held several key positions with Baxter Laboratories. Mr. Lazos has served on the Boards of several public and private medical companies. He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University and his Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Richard D. Hamill, Ph.D.
Chairman of the Board
Dr. Hamill has over 40 years of experience in the medical industry. During his tenure at Hycor Biomedical, Inc. as founder, Chairman, President and CEO, he grew it profitably through new product development and by integrating five strategic acquisitions. Dr. Hamill joined G.D. Searle & Co. serving under Donald Rumsfeld, then President and CEO of Searle, Dr. Hamill created an organization which developed and implemented regulatory strategies and conducted worldwide audits covering all activities in manufacturing, quality assurance, R&D and clinical research. Dr. Hamill spent 10 years with Baxter Laboratories in senior management positions in research administration, quality assurance and regulatory. He received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in pharmacy from the University of Utah.
John T. Stecco
President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Stecco has 20 years of experience as an attorney in private practice and as corporate counsel and in business development and innovation with a major consumer products company.
Mr. Stecco began his professional career as a private practicing attorney specializing in litigation involving fraud, personal injury, landlord and personal property. After 5 years in private practice he joined the General Counsel’s Office at Amway Corporation, an $8 billion company, where he was responsible for contractual relations with the 750,000 independent distributors addressing risk issues, enforcing arbitration agreements and creating strategies which protected and defended the company’s reputation and legal attacks including internet websites and government agency investigations.
Moving into business innovation and development at Amway, Mr. Stecco was responsible for exploring, testing and initiating new and alternative marketing approaches and business models. This also included identifying and evaluating the viability of non-traditional business opportunities and acquisitions that could supply new revenue, dimension and appeal.
Among his many accomplishments, he successfully led teams that launched new nutriceutical products into Amway’s Nutrilite line; working directly with Apple launched Amway’s iPhone application, currently the 9th most popular iPhone application; managed the startup of an internet-based e-commerce website using social media and direct selling to market entertainment media.
Mr. Stecco received a B.S. degree in Public Law and Government from Eastern Michigan University and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School and is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Illinois.
Eugene J. Zurlo
Director
Mr. Zurlo has over 40 years experience in the healthcare industry. He has served in various executive management positions in major companies, was a founder of several start-up companies, and is an active investor and manager of numerous entrepreneurial ventures.
He is Chairman and founder of Alpine Biologicals, Inc. and is Managing Director of the Zurlo Investment Trust. Previously, Mr. Zurlo was Chairman, CEO and founder of Hemasure, Inc., and before that held senior executive positions at Millipore Corporation, Baxter Healthcare and the New York Blood Center. Mr. Zurlo is a director of AutoGenomics, Inc., Penny Creek Associates, Plasma Technologies and IH Radio, Inc. Among his philanthropic activities, he is a trustee of the Witherspoon Institute (Princeton, New Jersey), and of Christendom College (Front Royal, Virginia). Mr. Zurlo is also founder and Chairman Emeritus of .Catholic Radio Association and is a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher.
He holds a B.S. in pharmacy from Fordham University and an M.S. in pharmacy administration from Long Island University.
